COVID-19 Updates

Due to COVID-19, the college is closed to the public, and staff is working remotely. As a result, ACC is offering alternative criteria for placement of the TSI assessment requirements for the Spring 2020, 下跌2020, and 2021春季 semesters. Please see below for more details.
COVID-19 TSI评估 Alternative

The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state-required assessment test to determine college-readiness in reading, writing, and math. All first-time college students must take the TSI test before enrolling in classes unless you are exempt or complete. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with THECB guidance, Austin Community College (ACC) is able to consider alternate criteria for eligibility and placement of student readiness for college-level reading, writing, and mathematics courses and is offering the alternative criteria for placement of the TSI assessment requirements for the 夏季2020, 下跌2020, and 2021春季 semesters.

For incoming students who do not have TSI scores, t这里 are two options:

1。 TSI评估: Applicants may take the TSI评估 (TSIA) online to determine their college-level placement in courses. You can schedule this by contacting

2。 College-Readiness Alternative: To assist in the application process, ACC will use applicants' high school transcripts as alternative criteria for college-level readiness in reading, writing and math for their first semester 夏季2020, 下跌2020, and 2021春季 semesters. (Please Note: Under TAC Rule 4.55(a), 学生们 must complete the TSIA before the end of their first semester to avoid being unable to register for the following semester.)

If you have not yet met TSI requirements and have questions about your options, contact us at and an enrollment advisor will assist you.
